Why Use Eco-Friendly Products?

Do you use eco-friendly products? Are you concerned about the planet? Do you believe eco-friendly products will help preserve the planet?

Eco-Friendly

Good News:

Did you know that retailers are becoming more involved with producing eco-friendly products? When plastic was manufactured, it was very popular to us, but then it has been discovered that the plastic pollution is now the most common environmental problem that humans and animals are both facing. This is according to ecotradecompany.com. They further add that food shortages, climate change, air pollution, water and land pollution is widespread and is a huge problem for every one.

2. A Few Statistics

According to the worldpursuit.com 90% of the word’s seabirds have plastic fragments in their stomach, only 9% of plastics are recycled around the world, and 80% of ocean plastic originates on land and then enters our ocean through rivers and streams. They further talk about a few eco-friendly products such as eco-safety razors, go-cups for traveling, bamboo drinking straws, collapsible straws and much more.

3. Reasons to Go Green

It is not enough just to use eco-friendly products you can go a step further by going green.

Global warnings are real. Someone once said, “When you know to do better then you should.” Going green helps the planet and helps you. Becoming conscious and aware of this is becoming more evident every day. Going green will help the future generations.

There are numerous ways that you can go green. Also, note that organizations are tending to go green. You may want to pick a few of them. Going green is becoming more popular as more people become conscious and aware.

4. Grow Plants Indoors

Did you know that live plants around your home act as natural air filters, and some plants are particularly effective absorbers of harmful pollutants emitted from carpets, furniture, and electronic equipment? This is according to webmd.com.  Also in my article,

Do You Know the Benefits of Houseplants?

I talk about how houseplants can improve your mood, reduce fatigue, lower stress and anxiety, and ease dry skin and respiratory ailments. I further emphasized that Cacti can help reduce the background noise you hear in your home whenever you’re trying to relax.

5. Mrs.  Myers Multipurpose Cleaner

I started using Mrs. Meyer’s Multipurpose Cleaner. I use the honeysuckle fragrance and lemon. Both smell so good. They are quick and easy to use. I love the fresh smell. It is safe to use as a tile cleaner and on counter tops. I especially like how it makes my counter tops sparkle while smelling good at the same time.

6. Cascade Platinum Plus. Eco-Friendly Dish-washing

I love this product for my dishwasher. I can really see the difference especially in my drinking glasses and silverware. Cascade is constantly creating and improving product formulas to be more in harmony with the world we live in, which includes phasing out ingredients that have been found to have impacts on the environment.

According to cascadeclean.com they don't rely on phosphates or chlorine bleach to get your dishes clean, it doesn’t have any dye, just thoughtfully selected ingredients to deliver the Cascade clean. I like that.

7. Small Businesses Benefiting

Going green for small businesses means considering your company’s overall ecological friendliness. This is according to sage.com. They also say that according to Circular Online more than a third of shoppers have knowingly paid more for green products since the pandemic struck, and 51% think the Eco credentials of a product are now just as important as the price they pay for it.

8. Eco-Friendly Strips

Are you using eco-friendly products when you wash your clothes? Eco-Friendly strips are simple to use. Just remove strips, place in the washer,  and then add your clothes. Tru-earth.com states that eco-friendly strips are Paraben-free, phosphate-free, free of added dyes, free of chlorine bleach, readily biodegradable in accordance with OECD 31OD, (Organisation for Economic Co-opertion and Development), hypoallergenic, certified by independent dermatologist, and Vegan: no animal-bases ingredients or testing on animals by them or their ingredient suppliers, and is manufactured in Canada.

9. Best Sustainable Companies in the United States of America

Do you know of some of the best sustainable companies in the United States? According to earth.org. Clif Bar and Company (known for protein and energy bars and drinks, Current Foods (known for plant-based tuna), NOW Foods now recycles more than 400 tons of material, Plant Based Seafood Co. (currently have crab and lobster cakes to scallop and shrimp with the latter made of 100% plant-based ingredients, Apple ( Apple’s carbon footprint has decreased by 40% and in 2020 fiscal year reduced their energy used by 13.9 million kilowatt-hours through efficiency efforts, and as it moves closer towards their 2030 carbon neutrality goal, the tech giant is also incorporating more recycled plastics across its products.

10. Sketchers

Besides the fact I will admit I am slightly biased about Sketchers shoes because I love the way they make my feet feel. The memory foam in the shoes is awesome. Sketchers states that 93% of their branded shoe boxes are fully recyclable, 100% foot forms and tissue paper packaging is recyclable, and their packaging materials are printed with soy-or water-based ink.  This is another thing that I Like.
