My New Favorite Things (2023)

What are your favorite things? I have a few things. Some of these things are so good to me that I want to share them with you. If you have listened to the musical,  sound of music, you may have heard the songs about favorite things and thought nothing of it.

 Shark EZ Robot Self-Empty

***Good News***

History:

Do you know where Favorite Things originated? Well something that I learned was that according to en.wikipedia.org., My Favorite Things was a song from the 1959 Rodgers and Hammerstein musical The Sound of Music. They further added that John Coltrane played a 14-minute version I E minor as the title track of an album recorded in October 1960 and released in March 1961.

Did you know that in 2002 Oprah presented a few of her favorite things as key lime pie, croissants, Pillsbury home baked classics, Dream T Foot Cozys, Four-in-One Camera, and much more? This is mentioned at oprahwindrey.fandom.com.

Oprah is not the only one that has favorite things. I have a few of my own that I would love to share with you.

1. Shark EZ Robot

I love this robot vacuum. I wish that I had this robot long ago. My first purchase I was not satisfied with because the vacuum unit would need to be emptied after each use. I took this back and got the better one which has it’s own emptying station. The great thing about this is that it self-empties after each use and I only physically empty it 1-2 times a month. This is something that I really love.

Now I was cautious in the beginning; following my robo vacuum throughout the house, because I had heard stories that people could not find theirs in their house as they did not watch it. I am a little more comfortable now not following it every step. This was a great investment. I just sit down and let the robo-vacuum do the job. When I first turned it on it would talk and say, “Let’s clean.” I thought this was so cute. It cleans much better than any push vacuum cleaner that I have had in the past. Who would have thought 100 years ago that a robot vacuum cleaner would be available.  Also I do not have to worry about hair getting caught around any rollers. That is a thing of the past.

Observe my Shark EZ Robot in action below:

2. Aqua Globe

Although I tested this at first to see how long it would water my plants without me adding more water to it, I discovered it would water my plants about about a week. I really like it, because if I am out of town for a week I can be assured it will keep my green plants well watered. It is sort of like a baby sitter for my green plants. I just love this.

3. Audible

I discovered that audible has awesome books to listen to for a small monthly subscription. For me this is convenient because I do not just sit down and read a book. I like Audible because you receive 1 free credit per month to select any book of your choosing. Previously I would check out audiobooks at the library to listen to in my car on my CD’s, only to find some of the authors and books that I chose were very depressing. I could feel the characters getting into my spirit. I recall a famous person saying that when you read a book you are reading the author. With audible I can also listen to the audiobook in my car from my cellphone.

4. Xmas Bedding

I love beautiful Christmas bedding during the holidays. What a way to start the Christmas season. In fact, I love beautiful bedding. There are so many different styles and patterns now that are available. Comforters are now so plush and beautiful. I have previously purchased bedding from Amazon, Macy’s and J.C. Penneys. I love what I have received from all of them. I am about to get Christmas bedding from Temu. I will update it here to let you know how I like it or not.

5. Wendy’s Apple Pecan Salad

I love salads. I just happened to try Wendy’s Apple Pecan Salad. I just love it. Besides the 100% chicken breast, it comes with sliced red and green apples, roasted pecans, and sweet cranberries, crumbled blue cheese, and signature lettuce blend. Although the sauce is Pomegranate Vinaigrette. My preference is Ranch Dressing.

6.. Temu Jewelry

I love the Temu products. The t-shirts are awesome and the jewelry is very inexpensive. Now there are a few things I have ordered that did not meet my expectations, but Temu was quick to inform me no need to send back that they would credit me or send me a complete refund. It was always my choice. The returns thus far have been few. I like that they address my problem immediately and do not give me the “run around.” How many times have you disputed something on your credit card and you are told it could take up to 30 to 60 days to correct? How many times have you had problems with other companies only to find it takes several weeks to get the problem corrected?

There has been some controversy about Temu being backed by a company from China. By the way have you looked at the label of many of the products you buy? Start checking them. You may find on the product, “Made in China.” The United States receives various products from China. It is great we have made in America products, but the reality is the United States receives from other countries as well. I have had favorable experiences thus far. If and when that changes I will be sure to make it known.

So I hope you enjoyed my favorite things. Feel free to share with me your favorite things.

Stephanie I was very skeptical in the beginning. Now I wish that I would have gotten one long ago. It is so easy and so efficient.

I used to have an aqua globe--it got lost in a move, but it was a really nice tool. I'm not great at watering plants. ha This makes me think I should probably get another one! It's great to learn what other people's favorite things are. Thank you for sharing this post at the Will Blog for Comments #20 linkup. Hope to see you there next week, too, with more posts--either old or new!

Thank you Jennifer. I really love my aqua globe. I have one particular plant that I use it on now. That seems to be working out well. Thanks for stopping by.
