6 Benefits of a Vision Board

If you are a visual learner, you will definitely benefits from a vision board. There have been those that used a vision board for their retirement and many of the dreams became a reality sooner than expected.

DREAM BOARD

You will decide what type of vision board that you want. Maybe your goal is to loose weight, develop a new career, or become proficient in some type of talent. Whatever the case, a vision board will help you do it.

What you Need: a poster board, magazine, glue scissors, or stick-pins. Now you can add to this if you like buttons, strings, beads, ribbons, paint, photos, markers, bows, tape, frames, keys, hair, etc. You decide what you want to use.

1. Reality

Your dreams visualized on a vision board becomes reality.

2. Fun

Creating a vision board is fun. You get to dream things that are bigger than you. It helps you be creative, imaginative, and consider the “what if” possibilities.

3. Outside the Box

Thinking outside the box can give you so many possibilities for a great outcome. Someone once said, “If you can see it, you can obtain it.”

4. Goal Setting

When you set your goals, putting them on a vision board can help you achieve your goals. Even though you may set a deadline with your goals, visually being able to see them just enhances the idea that you will achieve them.

5. Reminder

By visually seeing your board daily, it is a reminder of what it is that you want.

6. Seed Sowing

Just like planting a word a vision board is the starting of a seed that will eventually grow and mature. In this case it is a visual seed.  Do you remember in school growing a bean from a seed? Wasn't it amazing to watch the process as it grew from a seed to a full bean? The same with a vision board, but the one great thing about it is that some of ideas planted on it may mature earlier than expected and that is definitely a good thing.

If you prefer doing your vision board online you can do so digitally with several apps that are listed at Digital Vision Board. There are online vision boards such as secret boards on Pinterest. If you are a visual person and you prefer doing a board online, Pinterest is perfect for that, because you can make a secret board that is seen only by you and not the public. On this board you can pin ideas, dreams, and goals that you have for your life.  I find that I enjoy doing both. I use both the digital and the physical board.

Have you created your vision board? I would love to hear from you.

I haven't ever done one before, but lately I've been thinking about it. I really have all I ever wanted, but I'd like to visualize healthiness and retirement. I stopped by from Janice's party!

Interesting concept. I have never made a vision board, it would keep ones's goals in front helping to keep things on track.
