4 Great Summer Camps For Children

1. University of Michigan-Flint Youth Camps,

Where: UM-Flint Recreation Center, 303 E. Kearsley Street, Flint, Michigan 48502

When: June 27, 2011-July 29, 2011

Time: Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m.- 5 p.m.

The cost is $130 per camper for the first week registered, $120 for each additional week per child. Ages are 6-11.

Discounts are available for UM-Flint faculty, staff, and students if registered before June 10, 2011. Children will experience the Institute of Art, the Sloan Museum and much more.

2. UM-Flint Ready Set Kindergarten


When: June 13, 2011- August 31, 2011

Where: UM-Flint Recreation Center, 303 E. Kearsley Street, Flint, Michigan 48502

Time: 8:30 am-4:30 p.m

This program is for children that will start Kindergarten in the Fall. Your child will experience math, literacy, and a variety of other subjects and skills. The cost is $25 a day or $115 per week.

3. AGA Gymnastics Training Center- Creative Learning Academy


Where: 6210 Lehman Dr., Flint, Michigan 48507

When: May 9, 2011-June 20, 2011

Note that these 6 week sessions have already started.

Creative Learning Academy

At this program your toddler will experience foreign language exposure, gymnastics, music and movement, and much more.

4. Sloan Museum (Old Time Outdoor Games)


Where: Sloan Museum, 1221 E. Kearsley St., Flint, Michigan 48503

When: June 4, 2011

Time: 1 p.m-4 p.m

Free with admission

Children will play potato sack hopping, jump rope, hula hoops, and much more.

Wow this is cool there are so many activities. Flint is about a 4 hour drive for us, maybe longer. I hope people in the area take advantage of these events.
