4 Top Free Interactive Online Book Sites
Mickey Mouse
1. Starfall
This is an interactive book site that I found to be very interesting for toddlers. It is free and offers various options to teach children to read with phonics. This is especially helpful for preschool children. It engages your preschooler with colorful, plays, fiction and nonfiction, comics, folk tales, Greek myths, and Chinese fables. There is an “It’s Fun to Read area.” Also an area called “All About Me.” It will asks questions to engage your toddler’s thinking abilities. In the “Learning to Read” section it will have your toddler matching the picture with the letters and sounds. A great thing about this area is that it does sound the phonics out aloud.
2. Clifford Interactive Storybooks Home
This colorful site offers phonics fun for early readers. Here at this site your toddler can read a story in English or Spanish. Your toddler can have fun reading books online. Possibly your toddler might prefer to play a game. You will find numerous scholastic videos, story starters for creative writing, character
scrapbooking and much more.
3. Disney Books Homepage | Books for Kids| Disney
This is an excellent free interactive site for your toddler. This site offers videos, games, characters & stars, and much more. Ages start from 0-3 and continue to all ages.
I have observed that children catch on very quickly how to play the games. Games may include Pixie Hollow, Toontown Online, World of Cars Online, and much more.
4. I SPY Online Games: Play Free Games | Scholastic.com
