2 Awesome Summer Activities in Michigan

Michigan has some places to visit in the summertime. The great thing about these places is that they are family oriented places. You must visit.

summer camps in Michigan

One of the places that I really like is Camp Copeneconic in Fenton, Michigan.

Here you will find various activities for the family. Day Camps or overnight Camps are available. Be prepared for a lot of walking and above all wear comfortable shoes. Since Michigan weather is quite changeable you might want to wear boots if it has been raining on previous days. In fact there were snow flakes earlier during this month of May. Cold and adverse weather usually does not last though; before you know it the sun is shining again. Some of the camps may include SuperHero Camp, Mother and Daughter Ranch Camp.

Some of the other activities may include basketball, zip lining, archery, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, and GaGa( a sort of dodgeball where the children form a circle and attempt to eliminate each other by rolling the ball rather than throwing the ball at another. This game is played in an Octagonal Pit. They have this game set up outdoors and indoors in the event of rain. They continue this until there is only one player left standing. I went Kayaking for the first time at Camp Copneconic. At first I thought I would not like it and that it would be difficult, but I discovered it was so much fun. Many of the children were excellent shots with archery.

The classic Day camps have a new theme weekly. This Camp can accommodate up to 450 people and they do provide meals as well. You will see on their family page the motto “The Family that plays together, stays together.” I like that.

Besides great Chicken that Frankenmuth is known for they have a great Zehnder's Splash Village Hotel and Water Resort. One of the the great things I like about the Water Resort is that the water is warm, 82 degrees) as oppose to cold water. This makes it more inviting. The  park schedule for half days are $35.00 per person from 10 am-3pm or 3 pm-8 pm. Full day passes are $42.00 per person. They also offer package deals for families and/or birthday parties. Their birthday parties include Pizza, soft drinks, 20 Arcade Credits per person, and even more. I was amazed to see young and old at this water park. If you have not been to any of these amazing places. They are places that you must see.
