How Many Ways Can You Honor our Veterans?

Military Veterans (THANK YOU)

Military veterans can be honored any time throughout the year. Saying thank you to a military veteran can mean so much to them. I am so proud to say that I am in a military family which include nieces, nephews, brother-in-laws, sister-in-law, my pastor, and most important of all my husband. My husband is a proud soldier. Although, my husband is a very private person, he perks right up when there is discussion about the military.

                                                            Veterans Day Appreciation

There are so many ways to honor veterans such as hanging the american flag in your yard, going to a veteran’s grave site, picking up a veteran’s tab, and much more.

Did you know that there are numerous Restaurants that are offering FREE meals and much more to Veterans? The Links are listed below in alphabetical order:

A. Honoring Veterans Today

There are those that are honoring veterans. It is just great to see the camaraderie not just in Michigan, but in numerous states. Although Veterans Day is highly recognized, there are homeless organizations that are ongoing to care for the homeless veterans, according to the National Coalition for the Homeless.

Lifts are presently used in Veteran's Hospitals for lifting and moving patients. This is said to reduce employee and patient injuries, thus savings the hospital more money.

B. Lifts

The lift is used at Baptist Hospital, in Nashville, Tennessee by using a buddy approach while matching a new user with someone skilled at using the lift device according to usatoday.com. The American Nurses Association adds that only 10 states have laws or regulations requiring health-care institutions to have patient-handling requirements for protection of the nursing staffs. Unfortunately Michigan was not listed as one of those states.

C. Care Packages

Have you considered sending a care package to an active soldier? Possibly a care package to the surviving family of a Deceased Veteran. A link is listed below to send a care package.

 D. Donations

Donations are always welcome to Veterans.
