7 Tips Life Has Taught Me

There are several things that I have learned in life. Have you been observant of life’s lessons. There are many of them to learn. What has life taught you? Do you keep doing the same thing over and over getting the same unwanted results? There are 7 things that life has taught me.

lessons

1. Life is Not Always Fair

How true that is. Sometimes we are give a bunch of bad lemons. When this happens what do you do? Some days are just wonderful and then other days might seem horrible. Now here is where attitude is so important. Even though life may have dealt you a not so good of an outcome your attitude and how you handle your situations are very important. For example think of the families that have small children or even babies diagnosed with Cancer. Think of those that may have been attacked by a shark while swimming. Remember there is always some else that may be worse off than you.

2. Bad Things Happen to Good People

Unfortunately some unfortunate situations are not limited to bad or evil people. Everyone may experience unusual circumstances in life. Again attitude it important as to how will you handle the circumstances.

3. Diet

I have learned the importance of having a nutritional diet. That saying, “You are what you eat,” is so true. Because God designed everyone differently, what is good for you may not be good for me. What you crave might not be what I crave. But I have learned the importance of breakfast and how it can set the tone for me for the rest of my day. I had to learn that when I wake up in the morning and eat breakfast it regulates my sugar and insulin levels in my body. That is so important. Did you know that?

4. Family

Family is oh so important. You can have all the money and fame in the world, but what good is it if you have no one to share it with. Hopefully, you can lean and depend on family when no friends are anywhere to be found.

5. Response

Your response to any situation is oh so important. I just wanted to share there were a set of twins. A boy and a girl. The little girl wanted to practice learning how to tie her shoes. They were about 4 or 5 years old. The catch was that the little girl wanted to practice on her brother’s shoes and he did not want her too. She all of a sudden sucker punched her brother. Now the grandmother had always emphasized to her grandson’s “You do not hit little girls or women.” Now the grandmother talked to her granddaughter, “We do not hit little boys, you need to apologize to your brother.” The little girl did apologize. To the grandmother’s surprise her grandson hugged his sister and said, “That’s okay. I just love you.” Now he did not have to respond that way, but he did. The grandmother thought, “What an awesome response.” Our response to different situations again is so important.

6. Life Is Short

Life is short. Are you living your best life? Sure everyone makes mistakes. Are you learning from your mistakes? I know that I have made my share of them during my lifetime.

7. Control

Remember you cannot control everything. You cannot control others. Controls the things that you have control over such as your attitude, what you eat, where you go, and I am sure you may think of many more. The things that I cannot control I pray to God and I turn it over to God? After all God does not blink. What about you? Some days I may just say “Jesus.” “ God I am doing my best, help me.”
