Oh What Fun (Pinterest Is)

Did You Know that Pinterest is a FREE visual pinboard? You can get great ideas from Pinterest? Ideas can range from art, gardening, hair, or your own diy (do-it-yourself) projects. You can even buy products directly on Pinterest with the free Pinterest “BUY” app.

Visual bookmarking

You can get great ideas, tips, and strategies from Pinterest. Possibly you have a few ideas for a party coming up in the future or even for a special holiday. You can find them and pin them to your special board on Pinterest. If it is for a surprise party why not pin it to a secret board that is for your eyes or your teams eyes only? When I first received an invitation from a co-worker, I had no idea what Pinterest was or what I would pin to Pinterest. She suggested pinning about things I liked and was interested in. It was just that simple.

I am the administrator of several group boards at Pinterest. I also am a part of several other group boards at Pinterest and on Facebook.

1. Doing it All

Now you can try to do it all yourself, but it is much better doing it with the help of others.

Note:

You will need an invitation from the group board administrator in order to join the group board. You can email the administrator or message the administrator on Pinterest. You generally need to follow that board. Usually the requirements and guidelines for that board are listed at the top of the board. Once you accept the invitation you may then start pinning on that board. Now some boards have become so large you may find they are not accepting new pinners, but do not worry, there are many other group boards available.

2. Example of How to Join a Group Board

How to Join a Group Board

If you will observe at the top of my Technology board on Pinterest I have the following, “If you would like to pin on this board, Click ADD ME in the comment area. (maximum pins per day is 5) No porn or bad language. Excessive pinners will be removed and/or blocked. You must follow this board also. Happy Pinning. Now once someone requests to be on my board and starts following me, I will send them an invite. Once that is done I can add them to my board and they can start pinning immediately. It is as simple as that.

One of my Group boards is listed below:

3. What is Your Blogging Niche?

This is a group directory with a variety of groups and different niches

4. Pinterest Webinar

Did you know that Pinterest has a Webinar that runs every Wednesday. Here you will hear discussions regarding strategies, Pinterest ads, and much more.

5. Buyable Pins

When you have the app which is available on Android and iOS, and iPads you can purchase your item right there on Pinterest without even leaving the Pinterest site. That is so cool. Just look for the blue buy it button. This is a free app that is available at the App Store or at Google play. Whoever would have thought that you could shop directly from your cellphone or iPad? Also, if you have collected and saved pins for gifts this app will send you a notification when the product goes on sale and you can buy it right then.

6. Pinterest Browser Button

If you do not have it, be sure to get it so when you see and idea on the web, you can be sure to save it on Pinterest. For example if you see a new place that you might want to vacation at, you can just pin it. If you have ideas for a vacation spot, you can pin it to your secret board. Your secret board is for your eyes only and not the public. Those of you that love to cook might want to pin a recipe to Pinterest and try the recipe at a later date. There are endless things that can be done with Pinterest.

7. How To

Once you have joined Pinterest, just click on the + button down in the right hand corner of the page to get your Pinterest browser button, which will sit in your toolbar on your page. Just click on it when you see an image or article that you want to pin. This pin is great for readers that want to pin articles and read them at a later time.

8. Ideas

You can also see what ideas others may have around the world. For example some of the top searches in France may include easy recipes, while in Germany you may see crafting with kids. It is always good to know what others are doing in other countries besides your own.

9. Picked for You Pins

Also, Pinterest will show you boards that they think you might be interested in based on your interests and past pins. Now if you are not on Pinterest, possibly you might want to try it. It is FREE. When I first started I did not have a clue as to what I was doing, but you learn as you travel on your journey.  Happy Pinning.

Pinning, Following, Scheduling and even un-following were never so easy on Pinterest. It even takes time to grow on Pinterest but not for me; I am using PinPinterest [com] for my Pinterest account automation. It can work for you 24*7 with its autopilot feature. You can even use it on the go due to its cloud storage facility.
