At today's Meet and Greet we will talk About Resurrection Sunday.
1. Easter
According to
History.com the celebration of Easter goes back as far as the 2nd
Century. They further add that this popular secular holiday was
celebrated by early Christians who adopted Easter from a
Pagan festival that celebrated the goddess associated with fertility.
The retailers have
taken advantage of this day by advertising great sales on clothing,
candies, eggs, and much more. I have to admit I really like those marshmallow peeps.
2. Resurrection
Sunday
There are some
churches that refer to Easter Sunday as Resurrection Sunday, putting
more emphasis on the resurrection of Jesus who died for our sins.
1st
Corinthians 15:3-8 For What I received I passed on to you as of
first important: that Christ died. for our sins according to the
scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day
according to the scriptures.

I am over at www.csuhpat1.blogspot.com or Adventures in Weseland. I don't do the Easter Egg thing, I tend to focus on my faith and how I am doing in that regard. Happy Easter to you and your family.
My children always had Easter baskets but we placed the emphasis on going to church on both Good Friday and Easter Sunday so they understood the meaning of Easter! Thanks for sharing at The Blogger's Pit Stop! Roseann from This Autoimmune Life
