Did you know there
is power in your words? Do you send thank you cards to others? Are you a constant complainer? Why not turn
that around by making it a point to say “Thank You” more often?
Yes, this can be done.
thank you message |
Thank you messages are very important. There are some
people that are so unhappy that their day consists of complaining.
Do you know of anyone like that? Have you ever tried giving that
complainer some encouraging words or just thanking them? Even a
complainer has something to give that you can say thank you for.
1. Power of Words
John 1.1. In the
beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was
God.
The law of
attraction.com talks about how everything begins with a word.
They further talk about words consisting of vibrations and sounds
that create reality. I agree. The words in the bible are alive
and those words also create reality. How awesome.
2. Choose Words
Carefully
It is so important
to choose words carefully. So often you may see those that feel it
is okay to say anything to anyone at anytime. It is not okay.
Also, it is not acceptable. When you thank someone regardless to
how small a task or gesture may appear it can be a win/win situation
for both of you.
I recall parking and
discovering that I did not have change for the meter. A friend and
myself were on our way to court. A gentlemen offered me changed. I
thanked him and thought what a nice gesture that saved me, because I
was not aware that I did not have change for the meter. Some might
even call this a random act of kindness.
3. Something New
The world is full of
knowledge. Other people are full of knowledge. When I learn
something new from someone, I make it a point to tell them thank you,
because people are not always obligated to share or tell you what
they know.
4. Children
You know that we can
learn from everyone young and old. I recall while on a field trip
as everyone was beginning to eat at the picnic table. A bee started buzzing around everyone and it was very annoying. My grandson somehow cupped the bee on
the table. Everyone thanked him including myself, because it is
very disturbing trying to eat outside with any insect flying
constantly around your head. You may also like the article 6 Encouraging Words.
5. Anytime. . .
Anywhere
Recently while
visiting at the hospital I observed that several of the nurses and
staff would thank patients for being a good patient. I thought to
myself, “That is so awesome.”
Note:
Now my challenge to
you is to go one day without complaining and to tell someone thank
you.
Now for a constant
complainer this may seem hard in the beginning, but practice will
make perfect. I know that this can be done.

DeleteThank you are two very simple words that hold tremendous power. They are right there along with "I am sorry."
