6 Amazing Uses for Vaseline

What Is Vaseline?

Do you know that there are many uses for Vaseline? It is good that you can use this for more than one particular thing. I would like to share with you a few of the awesome usages of Vaseline.

1. Your Lips

Vaseline was created in 1869, by Robert Chesebrough, a young chemist. I am thankful for Vaseline too. My grandmother use to always put Vaseline on by lips, especially in the wintertime. She would say it prevented my lips from chapping. As I got older, I found Vaseline was a great lip gloss to put over my lipstick. I liked the softness that it gave my lips.  You may also like this article:

2. Your Elbows and Knees

My grandmother also would put Vaseline on my elbows. She would talk about how ashy my arms and legs were. “ I would seemingly fall a lot when playing outside. I recall one day having scabs and bruises on both of my knees. I fell two days in a row. I will never forget that day. My friend and I were running and we both tripped over each other. My knees were so sore and looked really bad. I thought, “Both of my knees are in bad shape.” My auntie put Vaseline on them. It just really seemed to soothe the pain. Do you remember falling as a child? I remember hurting my knee. Hurting your knee, that can be quite painful. I recall the pain for me was quite excruciating.

3. Shoe Shining

I use a little Vaseline on my patent leather boots and then buff them really good. It gives a shine that you cannot imagine.

4. Baseball Glove

Livestrong.com talks about using Vaseline to break in a baseball glove.
5. Bird Pole

Tom Barlow of daily finance.com talks about putting Vaseline on the pole of your bird feeder to discourage those pesky squirrels. I think that is a great idea. I can just visualize the squirrel trying to climb that pole and sliding right down.
6. Eyebrows

I have used Vaseline to make my unrully eyebrows lay down.

Note:

Vaseline also comes in a variety of other products such as lotions, Vaseline Intensive Care Bath Beads, or Vaseline cocoa butter, but there are those that still prefer to oil their bodies with Vaseline.
